Ishak-bey’s Chifte hammam
This bath was located in the Skopje Bazaar, ie. in the space between Bit-Pazar and Kurshumli-an. The hammam was built by Ishaq-bey in the first half of the XV century, between the years 1438, when the Alaja Mosque and the Imamate were built and 1445, when the Ishaq-bey's waqf was legalized. This hammam was a double (chifte) hammam. It is not known exactly how long it had worked and what were the reasons for the abandonment of the object.
In the late 1970s, in order to gain more sales space, the Market Administration demolished the remains of this building, even though they were protected by law and declared a cultural monument.
