Kapiji-Basha Sinan’s Caravanserai

This caravanserai was located on the north of the Sultan Murat Mosque and the Clock Tower, near the türbe (tomb) of Ishak Bey. The construction of this building is set at the beginning or in the middle of the XV century. It is believed that the builder of this caravanserai was Kapidji-Basha Sinan, the son of Behadir. It is very likely that Haji Mehmed-agha reconstructed the building, after the 1555 earthquake.
