The "Multimedia Map of the Tangible Cultural Heritage of Skopje - Real Estate in the Ottoman Period" project is realized by the Center for Ethnological Research and Applied Anthropology (CEIPA), researches, presents and affirms the tangible cultural heritage in form of real estate, of Skopje, and is realized in several phases. Preparation of a multimedia map of the cultural heritage of Skopje from the Ottoman period - PROFANE OBJECTS, dating from the end of the XIV to the first decades of the XX century is implemented in the second phase of the project. This section presents profane buildings which were built and existed during this period (hammams, inns, bedesten, bridges, etc.). The location of each of the buildings is marked on the map, and historical data, oral tales, legends and photographs regarding the building are provided.
The project is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Macedonia through an annual competition financing projects of national interest in culture, protection of real estate, movable and intangible cultural heritage for 2020, and the City of Skopje through the Program for activities in sports and youth fields of the city of Skopje for 2020.
The project is implemented in the period March-June 2020.
