Girl's Hammam
This hammam was located near the Yahiya Pasha’s Mosque, where only girls bathed, hence the name of the hammam. It is only preserved in remains that can be seen from the west side of the mosque in the yard of the "Fidani" kindergarten.
It remains unknown who built the hammam exactly, but it is believed to have been in Hani Hatun’s waqf, Yahiya Pasha’s daughter, and dates back to the first half of the XVI century. According to Smail Softikj, it was built by Hatice Hanuma, who also built the Hat'njik Mosque. Regarding this hammam Evliya Çelebi wrote: “There is a women's hammam near the Yahiya Pasha Mosque. The hammam is not located on a busy street, but in a hidden place, since here it is a great shame for women to enter the hammams located on the busier streets."
There is no information on how long this hammam served as a bath, but it seems to have been abandoned long ago.
Short description of this hammam is given by Smail Softikj in his work "Muslim antiquities in Skopje": “This hammam had five domes, but all of them have been demolished, and today, you can only see the shape of what was once a dome. The ground layer is made of stone, and the rest of brick. Some figures and an ornaments in certain place can be noticed, and it can be concluded that it was a beautiful building, at the time.”
